Faith for Life Class

Classes are held every Sunday morning: 9:15am - 10:15am

Way of Jesus Workshops (Grades 1-4): we're offering three arts-based workshops where students in grades 1 through 4 will explore the eight practices we're engaging in as we learn to follow the Way of Jesus: story, prayer, simplicity, discernment, reconciliation, hospitality, generosity, and gratitude.  Each month, students will focus on one practice, exploring Bible stories and responding through creative projects to share with the congregation.  Three mixed-age workshops will focus on Art (led by Kim Glienke and Ann Nerland ); Drama & Music (led by Sarah Larsen and Katie Lowry); and LEGO Modeling & Animation (led by Paul Kiehne).

Echo the Story (Grades 6-8):  Students are exploring twelve key biblical stories, from creation to the formation of the church, and entering into each story imaginatively—making observations, drawing, writing, and discussing the meaning of the story and how it resonates with their own lives. Then, students get hands-on with the stories, re-telling them in their own voices through creative projects using digital storytelling techniques, music, animation, and other art forms.  For more information about the curriculum, see .   Led by Bernon Lee, Dwight Zscheile, Brian Gordon, Elizabeth Hosch, and Sarah Sannes.
