Relational Prayer: Experiencing God’s Tremendous Love

What would happen if our prayer was as much about our experience as it was about our beliefs? An Ignatian scholar, Maureen Conroy suggests an answer: we would enter into a felt-sense of God's tremendous love. The forum on November 20th will look at Conroy's premise and a form of prayer that weaves Scripture, stories, and our contemporary experience. Dan Johnson, Executive Director at Christos Center for Spiritual Formation, will guide us through the material and some practical ways to try this relational style of prayer.

Generosity Lunch + Dinner

October 23 is our annual Generosity Lunch (following the 10:30am service) AND Generosity Dinner (following the 5:30pm service)

The meals are important - to hear stories of generosity from fellow parishioners and also to prayerfully consider pledging (or increase existing pledges) to St. Matthew's.

We ask that all pledge cards be submitted on the following Sunday, October 30 - Commitment Sunday.

The College Search + Financial Aid

The College Search and Financial Aid: What you need to know. Oct 16, 11:30-12:30

For students and parents the college process can feel daunting. Which college for my major? When do I apply? What about scholarships and financial aid? Should I go to a community college first?
These are all great questions. Join Judy Johnson and Barrett Fisher to learn about the college search process. Judy Johnson is a transfer admission counselor, working with students at state and private colleges. Barrett Fisher is an academic dean and works with students in the college setting. Together, they will cover all the things you need to know about the college search process. Basic information about college choices and pathways, financial aid, potential scholarships and the application process will be covered. Feel more informed about the process and you will feel more secure in your final decisions.
Invite a friend or neighbor who would like to know more about the college process. All are welcome.
