Sunday, March 4 at 5:30 pm
Once a season or so, our community gathers around the dinner table for an informal service of eucharist. At Dinner church, we eat and pray together at the same time, enjoying home cooked meals, passing dishes around the table family style, and trying out everyone's go-to pot luck dish. The food is eclectic and delicious, and there's a buzz of energy around this table--joy, reflection, and a deep welcome.
On the first Sunday of March, we're holding our Lenten dinner church. We'll have a conversation about the scripture, with a bit of guidance from someone who has studied the story and can offer context. We'll pray with familiar prayers from the Book of Common Prayer, and sing simple hymns and chants to guitar, all in the parish hall--decked out for maximum coziness.
